Carrie Severson is a burnout, author, speaker, and caregiver. She first experienced burnout in 2012 when she created and ran a nonprofit for girls that grew nationally. She wrote about her experience with burnout in her first memoir, Unapologetically Enough, which led to burnout recovery keynotes for Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and healthcare networks nationwide.
When she isn’t leading audiences through exercises to retrain their nervous systems, Carrie Severson acts as the Chief Executive Officer of the Unapologetic Voice House, a hybrid book publishing business.
Carrie Severson started the Unapologetic Voice House in 2019 after spending years pitching literary agents in the hopes of being published traditionally. All her rejection letters from literary agents came down to the same thing. They all loved the work. They all compared the work to well-known authors. But because she didn’t have a big enough platform, agents always passed on her.
In addition to her memoir, she has The Enoughness Method, Burnout Recovery Affirmation Cards, and is releasing her story of caregiving for her husband through his cancer journey in 2025.
Carrie Severson, a renowned burnout recovery author and family caregiver, has shared this signature keynote to Fortune 500 companies, private medium and large companies, as well as in front of audiences at conferences around the United States. She uses her experience with both burnout and family caregiving in this authentic, candid, heartfelt keynote.
