Alice Han a prominent expert in Chinese macroeconomics, political economy, and global fintech, currently serving as the Director of China at Greenmantle, a leading macroeconomic and geopolitical advisory firm. With an academic background from two of the world’s most prestigious institutions Harvard and Stanford, Alice brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work, specializing in the intricacies of China’s economy, foreign policy, and its evolving role in global relations.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and economics from Harvard University, where her senior thesis on Cold War Sino-French relations earned the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize for excellence in research. Han later completed a Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from Stanford University, focusing on Chinese political economy and fintech. Her deep understanding of these subjects has made her a sought-after voice in the analysis of U.S.-China and EU-China relations.

Alice Han has extensive experience as a researcher, having worked under prominent figures such as Ambassador, Nicholas Burns at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center and historian, Niall Ferguson at the Hoover Institution at Stanford. Her work during these periods sharpened her skills in geopolitical analysis, research methodology, and writing allowing her to produce impactful academic and media publications. Alice Han also served as a Scholar-in-Residence at the Centre for Independent Studies from 2022-23, where she specialized in China-focused research.
