As a speaker, humorist, and author of four books, including Do it Well. Make it Fun: The Key to Success in Life, Death, and Almost Everything in Between, Ron Culberson’s mission is to change the workplace culture so that organizations are more productive and staff are more content. By combining excellence with humor, he helps organizations attract and retain great employees, develop excellent leaders, and deliver extraordinary products and services.
For ten years, Ron worked in a large hospice organization as a social worker, Counseling Manager, and Senior Director of Quality Services. Through these roles, he gained experience on the front line, in middle management, and ultimately in senior management. He has a proven track record as a successful member of a multidisciplinary team and as an effective senior leader.
Since 1996, he has delivered over 1000 presentations to over 200,000 people in the U.S. and abroad. In 2001 Ron received the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, the highest earned designation from the National Speakers Association and in 2014, he was inducted into the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame®.
Some of Ron’s clients include: American Cancer Society, NASA, Goodwill Industries, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Johns Hopkins University, US Department of Agriculture, US Senate, American Red Cross, Fairfax County Public Schools, Wells Fargo, Ronald McDonald Charities, US Department of Veteran Affairs, University of Virginia, and Verizon
Finally, Ron’s business model also includes dedicating a significant portion of his time to volunteer service. He was the 2012-2013 President of the National Speakers Association (NSA). In 2010, he received the NSA President’s Distinguished Service Award. He has also served on numerous boards and committees for organizations such as Capital Hospice, the Art Gliner Center for Humor Studies, and Rotary International where he chaired his club’s largest fundraisers. Ron has received the Rotarian of the Year, and the Four Avenues of Service Awards, two of the highest awards given by Rotary.
This program is a perfect follow up presentation to Do it Well, Make it Fun and gives participants an understanding of how to continually seek personal and professional development in the way they handle themselves, their relationships and their work.
This presentation is designed for supervisors, managers, and leaders to show them how to discover the necessary skills, values, and communication practices that will create a workplace culture in which excellence and fun can coexist.
Ron’s signature presentation shows staff and leaders how combining excellence and fun helps to manage stress, communicate more effectively, and improve the work environment.
