I visited with my neighbor this weekend and found out some really upsetting news. One of her daughters received a diagnosis of a terminal illness.
This threw me off balance. I have received life-changing news and know how difficult it is to find one’s footing. How my neighbor dealt with the news inspired me. π‘
She told me, “If I dwell and focus on what I will be missing in the future, I will not appreciate what I have right now.” Sage words. She also said, “This is a difficult moment, I will not shy away from it.”
