Your keynote speaker needs to rehearse their presentation, but they’re nowhere to be seen. Not all who wander are lost, but today may be the exception.
? You’ve been there before, lost in the labyrinth of walkways and hallways of large event venues. Admit it ¬– you’ve opened that hotel map up more than once to get from point A to point B. It’s not uncommon for you to log 20-30K steps on a single day, running around trying to find rooms.
Before giving your speaker a tracking device, consider mapping out the walk yourself before they arrive and then providing an escort to important events.
???? ?? ????? ???:
? Familiarize yourself with the walk from the hotel lobby to their room. If you’re pre-keying their room, personally escort them with hotel staff.
? Confirm their schedule (important days/times when they’re expected to be on stage or at an event).
? Map out the fastest walk from their hotel room to the stage, so you’re prepared to escort them.
? If your speaker is a celebrity, ask the hotel if there’s a discreet path you can take.
When you get onsite, do you map out the walk for your keynote? Share your experience in the ???????? below. ☟
