Book Adam Levin through The Keynote Curators
Biography
Adam Levin has spent more than four decades championing consumer rights and building successful businesses. He’s a nationally recognized voice on cybersecurity, privacy, identity theft, fraud, and personal finance — the kind of guy news outlets call when things go sideways in the digital world.
Levin’s career took off early. At just 27, he became the youngest Director ever of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, one of the most influential consumer protection agencies in the country. He graduated from Stanford University (AB ’71) and the University of Michigan School of Law (JD ’74).
Over the years, Levin has founded and led companies that shaped the way we think about data protection and credit education. As Chairman and founder of CyberScout, he built a leading global identity and data protection firm, helping pioneer the cyber insurance industry before most people had even heard of it. CyberScout was acquired in 2021 by Sontiq, now part of TransUnion. He also co-founded Credit.com, one of the first online hubs for credit education, tools, and services, which was sold in 2015 to Progrexion.
His mission has stayed the same from day one: to help consumers, businesses, policymakers, and law enforcement better understand privacy, identity protection, credit, and, more recently, election security. He’s the author of the critically acclaimed Swiped: How to Protect Yourself in a World Full of Scammers, Phishers, and Identity Thieves and has written for outlets like ABC News, The Huffington Post, Yahoo, Inc., Muck Rack, The Hollywood Reporter, The Hill, Bloomberg, Newsmax, and The New York Times. His interviews have been featured in The New York Times, AOL, MSN, and MarketWatch.
Levin has also had a strong presence in broadcasting, co-hosting the multi-award winning podcast What the Hack (now acquired by DeleteMe) and previously hosting consumer-focused shows on NY Radio WMCA and Los Angeles’ KFWB.
You’ve probably seen or heard him on The Today Show, CBS Evening News, Good Morning America, CNBC’s Closing Bell, Bloomberg Surveillance, Fox Business, Fox & Friends, ABC World News Tonight, Nightline, PBS’ Nightly Business Report, NPR, MSNBC, ABC News Radio, and Bloomberg Radio — to name a few.
A go-to expert for lawmakers and regulators, Levin has testified before state and federal bodies and regularly speaks at cybersecurity, financial services, insurance, education, and law enforcement conferences in the U.S. and Europe.
