Book Mack Dryden through The Keynote Curators

Biography

As a killer clean comedian or hilarious motivator, Mack Dryden is a guaranteed hit, as hundreds of thrilled clients will attest. This veteran of multiple appearances on The Tonight Show and former staff writer for several network TV shows creates custom humor for every client, inspires with tales of surviving daunting personal challenges, and his 7-Step Goal Achieving Formula is as effective as it is motivating.

Mack has shared his inspiring story and unique, clean humor with thousands at corporate and association meetings nationwide, and recently received a standing ovation from 2,000 financial professionals in Macau, China. His ability to create custom comedy constantly amazes. “You took a dry subject like manufacturing software,” said one client, “and made it funny, like you’d been in the industry yourself!”

From humble beginnings as “the funniest paper mill employee in Mississippi,” Mack earned a black belt in karate even as he was earning his MFA in Creative Writing. He won two Associated Press writing awards as a reporter in his home state, and finally became a professional comedian whose talent and perseverance landed him numerous TV appearances, including acting roles on JAG, The Guardian, and as a series regular on the CBS western Paradise. Now he spends his time writing and traveling the country bringing his special brand of Motivation, Inspiration and Jubilation to thousands each year. It hasn’t been an easy road; but, as he says, “Falling on your face is still moving forward!”

Mack is also the author of Does This Book Make My Head Look Fat? and Fluffing the Concrete: Making the Most of Foreign Prison or Anything Else, books that blend his signature humor with hard-earned life lessons. In them, he shares the same resilience, wit, and practical perspective that define his keynote presentations, proving that even the toughest circumstances can be transformed into fuel for growth.

Testimonials

Mack’s presentation was a wonderful way to kick off our conference! The audience enjoyed both the humor and the message, and were pleased that he mixed and mingled at our reception…I’ve nothing but kind words—he has been a pleasure to work with.
– Diane R. Waligurski, Meeting Manager
I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the meeting. Your style and facilitation skills were just excellent, and your use of humor was quite appropriate. You helped us address a very serious subject in a fun and enjoyable manner and you related well to the audience. What more can I say? I hope we have the opportunity to work with you again.
– Robin Sitver, Pfizer Meeting Coordinator
Thank you for making this closing event very special. I have to tell you that we laughed all the way home — and it was a 7-hour trip!!! Your evaluations were rated OUTSTANDING by the attendees, and the message so POWERFUL that many participants commented on what a difference you have made in their lives.”
– Florida Assn For Homes for the Aging
Mack presented a wonderful, thought-out and prepared message. What impressed me most was his research into the type of audience he would be speaking to. Some of his funniest and best received comments were from the information we provided him. Perhaps the biggest compliment came from an Arizona State Legislator, who said it was the most refreshing and fulfilling luncheon he had ever attended—which is saying a lot for someone who’s seen his share of rubber chicken lunches! I would be more than happy to recommend Mack to anyone.
– Rick Murray, Executive Director (Phoenix)
