Book John Kenney through The Keynote Curators

Biography

John Kenney is a New York Times bestselling author, Thurber Prize-winning humorist, longtime advertising copywriter, and contributor to The New Yorker. Known for his sharp wit, emotional honesty, and ability to find humor in the ordinary chaos of modern life, John writes about work, marriage, parenting, anxiety, grief, and the awkward, beautiful moments that make us human.

He is the author of three novels and four books of poetry, including Truth in Advertising, which won the Thurber Prize for American Humor, Talk to Me, Love Poems for Married People, Love Poems for People with Children, Love Poems for Anxious People, and I See You’ve Called In Dead. His work blends comedy with insight, offering audiences a funny and deeply relatable look at the pressures, contradictions, and quiet truths of everyday life.

Before becoming a bestselling author, John spent many years as a copywriter, bringing a storyteller’s eye to the world of advertising and communication. His background gives him a unique perspective on creativity, humor, language, and the human need to connect. Whether on the page or in conversation, John brings intelligence, warmth, and wit to the stories we tell about ourselves, our work, and the lives we are still trying to figure out.
