Book Anthony Veneziale through The Keynote Curators
Biography
Anthony Veneziale is a Tony Award-winning, Grammy nominated performer, keynote speaker, storytelling expert, and pioneer in musical improvisation. Also known by his stage name, “Two Touch,” he is the conceiver and co-creator of the acclaimed improvisational hip-hop musical Freestyle Love Supreme, which he developed alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail.
Veneziale has spent more than 25 years performing and teaching improvisation. He helped transform Freestyle Love Supreme from a late night creative exercise into a Broadway production featuring performers such as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Christopher Jackson, Daveed Diggs, Wayne Brady, and Utkarsh Ambudkar. The production received a Special Tony Award, and earned a Grammy nomination for the Hulu Documentary called We Are Freestyle Love Supreme.
A graduate of Wesleyan University with a degree in Film Studies, Veneziale began his career by co-founding Back House Productions. The company helped develop an early version of In the Heights, which later became the 2008 Tony Award winner for Best Musical.
Veneziale is also the co-founder and CEO of Freestyle+, an organization that uses improvisation, storytelling, musicality, and neuroscience to help individuals and teams strengthen communication, creativity, collaboration, adaptability, and mental fitness. His work brings the principles of improvisational performance into workplaces, leadership development programs, and educational environments.
In addition to his work on Broadway and with organizations around the world, Veneziale became the first speaker to deliver a completely improvised TED Talk. He has also collaborated with Dr. Charles Limb and researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, to explore the effects of improvisational play on the brain.
Through his performances, workshops, and keynote presentations, Veneziale encourages people to become more present, embrace uncertainty, listen deeply, and communicate with greater confidence and authenticity.
