Making Sense of the Economy with Kyla Scanlon

The economy can often feel like an abstract machine—powerful, confusing, and out of reach. Kyla Scanlon makes it personal. In this talk, New York Times bestselling author of In This Economy? unpacks how jobs, markets, and policies connect to our everyday lives, translating complex forces into stories and insights people can actually use.
Known for coining the term “vibecession” and redefining how a new generation understands finance, Kyla gives audiences a clearer view of the economy’s moving parts, learn how public perception shapes market realities, and arms them with practical tools to think more critically about the forces influencing their world. Whether speaking to business leaders, consultants, labor advocates, or students, Kyla creates a space where economic conversation feels accessible, engaging, and empowering.
