Book Diane Allen through The Keynote Curators

Biography

Audiences do not attend concerts to hear a disengaged musician mechanically going through the motions. What they expect is an experience where musicians get into their Flow State, breathe life into the music, and provide a transformational experience for all.

As a 15-year Concertmaster (lead violinist), Diane Allen’s career and reputation depended on her ability to do exactly that. With her elite New York City violin training and well over 1,000 concerts under her belt, turning on that light switch and expressing her humanity through the music became routine. That is, until the day she found herself disconnected from the music she loved, unable to access the state where her excellence felt effortless and her performances came alive.

That’s when Diane discovered: Peak performance becomes unsustainable when people lose the connection with what lights them up.

The experience sparked a question that affects every workplace: How do people sustain excellence without becoming disconnected from themselves, their purpose, or the people around them?

Determined to solve the problem, she reverse-engineered how she uniquely enters the Flow State, an optimal state of mind where people feel their best, perform at their best, and express their most authentic selves. The result became Flow Strategy™, her neuroscience-backed framework for helping leaders and teams activate Flow on demand.

Today, Diane is an international keynote speaker, TEDx speaker and best-selling author of Flow: Unlock Your Genius, Love What You Do. As a thought leader, she’s been featured on TED, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX. Having appeared on stages over 40+ years, she brings a rare combination of real-world leadership experience and performance mastery to audiences around the world.

With the elegance of drawing the bow across her Copper Dragon violin, her signature keynote experiences blend live musical performance, neuroscience, storytelling, positive psychology, audience participation and actionable frameworks helping leaders and teams improve employee engagement, strengthen resilience, unlock sustainable high performance, and create cultures where people thrive.

The result is greater connection, stronger leadership, increased engagement, and sustainable excellence rooted in what truly makes us human.

Testimonials

I’ve seen a lot of speakers over the past nearly 30 years. Every now and then, someone steps into their lane so fully, you can’t help but take notice. Diane Allen knows her lane. FLOW is her space. She owns it and watching her work in it is genuinely inspiring. I had the chance to see Diane speak at two recent events, and both times, I was reminded what it looks like when someone brings depth, clarity, and conviction to a message they’ve clearly lived. If your team is navigating burnout, disengagement, or the need for more meaning in their work, Diane’s work on flow state and purpose-driven performance is worth your time. As a fellow musician and someone who’s spent decades in the speaker world, I don’t use the word Bookable lightly. Diane is bookable, and then some.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Diane Allen for our recent Ladies Who Lead program, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Diane has a seamless ability to weave storytelling and inspirational messages with her extraordinary violin playing in a way that feels both genuine and deeply moving. Her approachable style and authentic presence created a safe and welcoming space where honest and real conversations could flourish. She is a truly delightful human being, and any organization would be fortunate to have her as a speaker to inspire and engage their members or customers.

As President of the National Procurement Institute for the 2023-2024 term, I was honored to have Diane as the opening keynote for our 56th Annual Conference. In the ever-evolving field of procurement, professionals face complex challenges that demand focus, adaptability, and resilience. Diane’s insights into achieving peak performance and engagement are highly relevant to our industry, particularly as we navigate rapid technological advancements, strategic decision-making, and leadership development. Her approach to cultivating motivation, confidence, and alignment with purpose resonates with professionals at all levels, which made her an ideal speaker for our conference. I would highly recommend Diane as a speaker for any organization. Her expertise and engaging presentation style would undoubtedly inspire and equip your attendees with practical strategies to excel in their roles.
– Blake Skiles, CPPO, NIGP-CPP, CPPB, CPPM, CPP, CPC
I speak at and attend a lot of conferences. And, as often as not, I skip the keynotes. They rarely add any unique insight into my personal or professional life and my time would have been better spent in a breakout session with actionable information. Weird way to start a recommendation, I know. But Diane's keynote at the North Texas SHRM Annual Conference delivered real value. Her insight into finding one's own flow state and how to build a work environment that helps teams work in flow was excellent. The presentation was interactive and it never felt coerced or inauthentic.
