Biography
Jennifer Langton is an award-winning strategic executive with extensive leadership experience. As Chief Financial Officer of Atari to Senior Vice President of Innovation at the National Football League (NFL), Jennifer has driven transformation initiatives with measurable impact. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Player Health and Innovation at the NFL, Jennifer spearheaded groundbreaking advancements in athlete safety and performance. Jennifer Langton developed the league’s first injury reduction strategy, assembled a world-class multi-disciplinary team, and created the “Digital Athlete, ” utilizing AI and machine learning to transform injury prediction and prevention.
Jennifer Langton’s ability to innovate in player health stems back to her role as the NFL’s Vice President of Finance for Business Ventures. In this position, she played a crucial role in securing essential revenue agreements and leading international expansion efforts for the league. Prior to her role at the NFL, Jennifer was the Chief Financial Officer for North America at Atari, where she built and implemented a transformative strategic plan that restored profitability for a $150 million business. This comprehensive plan included company restructuring, a merger transaction, and the establishment of new licensing deals. She has also held various finance leadership positions across media, marketing, advisory, and law firms. Jennifer Langton holds an MBA from NYU Stern and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where she excelled as a Division One athlete on the Women’s Lacrosse team. Recently, she joined the board of UVA’s School of Data Science, highlighting her commitment to innovation and leadership. Additionally, she established the
Jennifer Langton Bicentennial Scholars Fund at UVA to support a deserving young female lacrosse student- athlete. Most recently, Jennifer’s work on the Digital Athlete won the 2025 Best in Athlete Performance Technology award at the Sports Business Journal Awards. She has also appeared on CNBC’s AI Evolve and FOX Business, where she discussed digital athlete technology and the technological revolution she has spearheaded in the NFL, as well as its potential impact on sports and other industries. Jennifer delivers keynote speeches at prestigious events, including the 2022 NYU Stern Executive MBA commencement, Innovation Day for the WED Abu Dhabi Authority, and the 3rd Annual Women’s Leadership Summit for IPI Partners & Stack. Fueled by her personal experience as an injured athlete, Jennifer Langton spearheaded a technological revolution within the NFL to prioritize player health and safety, embracing a data-driven approach and assembling a team of experts to analyze injury mechanisms and develop preventative strategies. This shift from a “League of Denial” culminated in the groundbreaking "Digital Athlete" program, a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to create virtual representations of players and use advanced data analysis to predict and prevent injuries through risk mitigation and workload adjustments.
Jennifer shares what she learned through this process, offering insights and actionable guidance for any industry/organization to embrace the use of AI and other technology to work in tandem with irreplaceable human skills and connection to improve processes and performance, refine outcomes, enhance offerings, and maximize team and customer satisfaction.
